About Mendel
I am an Honors B.Sc Biochemistry and Molecular biology student who is graduating in April. I have 2 years experience tutoring for organic chemistry and other chemistry courses. I have over 900 hours of lab experience and can not only assist with course material but work as well. With my degree, I am knowledgable with all things biology and chemistry and can easily tutor for either or both depending on the subject.

I like to come at the problem patiently and with understanding. Everyone learns differently, some of us were lucky enough to have good teachers teaching the basics and some of us weren't making chemistry and biology more of a task then it should be. I like to teach the basics of a solution for the problems individuals are having with their work, either in the class material or work. I use the material given to them to teach my own points on the subject and try to convey what their prof is trying to tell them even if the prof isn't the greatest at communicating it. I like to encourage the use of units because with them one does not need an equation, as such I enjoy teaching my students the skills they need to solve the questions themselves. Of course, I know sometimes we need to see how the answer is found to understand the problem, but I want to help individuals need it less and less as they become more confident with their skills.
