About Callie
My interest in economics began with curiosity about how markets operate and how policy decisions shape societies. This led me to pursue an M.A in International Economics and Finance, where I gained expertise in both quantitative and theoretical aspects of the discipline. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students from introductory learners to advanced analytical thinkers, fostering clarity, independence, and confidence in their economic reasoning.
I emphasise a teaching approach that combines practical examples, structured explanations, and critical engagement. Lessons are designed to connect theory with observable events, enabling students to analyse policies, market trends, and business strategies. I encourage curiosity, discussion, and independent problem-solving in every session.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with financial and policy research, global economic reports, and contemporary debates. Witnessing students develop both knowledge and analytical confidence is incredibly fulfilling. Supporting learners in understanding the mechanisms that shape societies and markets remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Economics lessons are designed to make abstract concepts tangible and applicable to the real world. I teach microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, fiscal and monetary policy, game theory, and behavioural economics, using case studies and interactive exercises to illustrate principles. Students develop skills in critical thinking, data analysis, and policy evaluation, enabling them to understand how economic decisions influence society, businesses, and global markets.
For intermediate learners, lessons focus on quantitative analysis, econometrics, and interpretation of statistical data to support policy or investment decisions. Advanced learners tackle complex problems, explore modelling, and engage in discussions on current economic events and their underlying causes. Each lesson encourages independent thinking, debate, and evaluation of evidence, building confidence in both theory and practice.
Economics lessons also enhance analytical skills, logical reasoning, and decision-making ability. Students learn to synthesise data, forecast outcomes, and understand the interplay between theory and real-world applications.
