About Andrea
I am currently a first-year student studying Economics at UCL, frequently being described as easy-going and enthusiastic by my friends.
In A-levels, I achieved A*A*AA in Maths (including 96% in paper 1), Physics, Economics and Further Maths respectively. In GCSE, 7 of my GCSEs were graded 9 (including maths, further maths and triple science), and all 12 of my GCSEs were graded 7-9.
I am patient, reliable and good at explaining things clearly, so lessons never feel rushed or confusing. Looking forward to tutoring you!!!

My approach on tutoring focuses on genuine understanding rather than memorisation, this allows you to build problem-solving skills rather than just using formulae. I break problems down from the fundamentals, walk through exam questions and use various techniques such as visual learning and step-by-step proof until a concept truly clicks.
A typical lesson runs 60 minutes, structured around a quick recap, focused work on a specific topic/weak area, then an exam-style question, with short homework to reinforce learning. This lesson is aimed at GCSE or A-level students at all levels - from those needing to build confidence to those targeting top grades.

I know Andrea through college, and I would say she’s a really smart person in a way that she knows how to teach people and make sure they understand the concept instead of just telling us how she does it.
