About Uma

My interest in economics began with curiosity about how markets function and influence daily life. This led me to complete a PhD in Economics, where I developed deep knowledge and analytical skills. Over the past 11 years, I have taught students from different levels, helping them understand economics in a simple and structured way.

I believe that economics should be taught with clarity and real-life connection. My teaching approach focuses on simplifying concepts and using examples to explain them clearly. I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and practice regularly so they can build confidence and improve steadily.

Outside teaching, I stay updated with economic trends and policy developments. This helps me bring relevant examples into lessons. Teaching economics is very meaningful to me because I see students grow in confidence and understanding. Helping them develop analytical skills and independent thinking is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

About the lesson

Economics becomes easier when students connect theory with real-world situations. In my lessons, I focus on topics such as demand and supply, market structures, inflation, national income, and economic policies using simple and structured explanations. I break down each concept into smaller parts so students can follow comfortably without confusion. I also use real-life examples like pricing decisions, budgeting, and global trends to make lessons more practical and engaging. Each session is interactive and supportive, helping students build confidence step by step.

As students progress, lessons are adapted based on their level and learning pace. Beginners focus on basic concepts and simple graphs. Intermediate learners work on calculations, diagrams, and relationships between variables. Advanced students focus on case studies, data interpretation, and exam preparation. I provide regular practice, structured notes, and feedback to ensure steady improvement and strong understanding.

Economics helps students develop analytical thinking and decision-making skills. As they improve, they become more confident in understanding financial systems and evaluating outcomes. These skills are useful in both academic and real-life situations. My goal is to make economics simple, meaningful, and engaging so students feel confident in applying their knowledge and thinking independently.
