As a teacher, my approach centers on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that emphasizes understanding over memorization.
My classes typically follow a three-part structure:
Introduction and Review – We start with a quick recap of previous lessons to reinforce knowledge and set the stage for new content.
Main Lesson – This part involves a mix of direct instruction and interactive exercises. I encourage students to ask questions, explore ideas, and participate in activities that make learning an active process.
Conclusion and Reflection – We end with a brief summary of the day’s lesson, and I often include a reflective question or small task for students to consider, helping them connect the new material to prior knowledge.
I use a combination of interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and visual aids to cater to different learning styles. I prioritize scaffolding — breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps to gradually build students' confidence and comprehension.
I believe in creating a safe space where they feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Additionally, I bring a creative touch to lessons with storytelling and situational examples, which adds depth to the material and encourages students to see learning as an exploration.
My classes are primarily intended for middle school students (typically grades 1-8), though I am open to working with high school students. This age group is at a critical stage of development, and my goal is to instill a love for learning while preparing them for more advanced studies.
Overall, my approach is student-centered, aiming to empower young learners with the skills and confidence they need to succeed both academically and personally.
