About Abhik

I am a research scholar involved in neuroscience at Drosophila Neurobiology Lab, in Nagaland University (central), Lumami, India. Where my research extensively uses techniques and concept in molecular biology and genetics.
The hectic research work has taught me that basic concept is the one driving point that can make or break your advance academic or research and development carrier. Hence I had to relearn lot of things and still am in the process of making my concepts even better so that I can come up with better questions which I then try to answer by myself. Believe me in any scenario of life people who succeeds or survives are the ones who actually ask questions. Searching an answer can be a long process but your question tells you where to look.

I approach the theories, hypothesis and concepts of life science in an audio-visual manner where I often write down knowledge provided and deconstruct it through small questions to myself. Further, I draw simple diagrams or prepare charts sometimes in my own way to better make myself understand the concept. I borrow the catchy bookish terms later when I need to present the same later in a project or paper. This makes sure my foundation remains strong over that I can build whatever fancy I want.

I genuinely want to share this approach with others and in the process make someone better. Also, enhancing the knowledge of myself and of students by absorbing the unique scrutinizing abilities for approaching a concept through discussion. While doing so if I earn, that's a win-win for me.

Sharing knowledge should be fun.

About the lesson

Concept in advance biology (e.g. molecular biology & genetics etc) requires understanding the principles of simple mathematics, chemistry and the habit of visualizing the biological process. I tend to touch upon these key parameters when teaching and explaining the concept through a audio-visual medium which include drawing/animation or PowerPoint presentation. I make sure my students understands the concept rather than just learn to regurgitate whatever knowledge that is provided. As such they will not only remain interested but it will make them come up with unique questions regarding the bioscience and its concepts. The questions will be discussed within the group in an interactive fashion developing everyone's learning skills, ideas and the attitude will help them to peruse advance career option in biosciences if they so choose.

The class will be held once a week through online mode and will consist of maximum 5-8 students. Duration will be for maximum 2-3 hours. Chapter wise concepts will be addressed and extra class will be provided after evaluation of the student's performance.

The class is subjected mostly towards undergraduate or post graduate students and school children. Others may also contact but will be entertained depending on my schedule.
