About Tessa
I am a Chess tutor with more than 20 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 1480 students. My passion is helping learners strengthen concentration, analytical thinking, patience, and decision-making through chess.
Many students have improved ratings, achieved tournament success, strengthened strategic abilities, and developed confidence through my coaching.
My goal is to help every learner become a stronger chess player while enjoying the intellectual challenges and rewards of the game.

My Chess lessons focus on helping students develop strategic thinking, tactical awareness, and competitive confidence through structured instruction and practical gameplay. Lessons cover Opening Theory, Middlegame Planning, Tactical Combinations, Endgame Strategy, Positional Play, Tournament Preparation, Time Management, and Advanced Game Analysis.
Students learn through tactical puzzles, training games, opening preparation exercises, strategic discussions, and detailed game reviews. Lessons emphasize understanding ideas and decision-making processes rather than memorizing moves.
Advanced learners focus on master-level game analysis, tournament strategy, psychological preparation, advanced endgames, and performance optimization techniques.
Regular assessments, customized training plans, and performance reviews ensure continuous improvement and measurable competitive growth.
