About Elliot

I have been teaching Spanish for the past 12 years and have successfully guided around 150 High School and College students toward achieving their learning goals. My passion for teaching comes from seeing students grow in confidence and discover that learning a new language can be enjoyable and rewarding.

My teaching philosophy is based on clear communication, patience, and continuous encouragement. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods to match individual needs. My lessons include grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through practical activities, conversations, and engaging exercises.

I encourage students to practice regularly because confidence develops through consistent use of the language. I also provide revision sessions, quizzes, and personalized feedback to help students recognize their progress and overcome challenges. Introducing Spanish culture and traditions makes lessons more interesting and meaningful.

One of my proudest achievements has been helping students improve academically while developing the confidence to communicate naturally in Spanish. Their progress reminds me that positive guidance and dedication can make a lasting difference.

I aim to make every lesson productive, enjoyable, and focused on helping students become independent learners who continue improving beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology focuses on creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability because I believe these qualities build confident Spanish speakers. I aim to create lessons that are practical, engaging, and enjoyable while helping students achieve their individual learning goals.

I use interactive conversations, storytelling, games, role plays, pronunciation activities, videos, reading passages, listening practice, and writing exercises to create a balanced learning experience. Students actively use Spanish throughout every lesson, allowing them to improve naturally.

Critical thinking is developed through grammar discovery, vocabulary exploration, sentence-building activities, and communication challenges that encourage students to think independently and apply what they learn.

As a mentor, I provide continuous motivation, patient guidance, and personalized support. I encourage learners to remain curious, ask questions freely, and learn confidently from their mistakes.

Accountability is an important part of my teaching style. I create structured lesson plans, monitor progress regularly, assign useful practice activities, and provide detailed feedback after every session.

Besides Spanish, I also teach grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation practice, reading comprehension, writing, listening skills, beginner Spanish, travel Spanish, DELE preparation, and Hispanic culture. My goal is to help students develop lifelong confidence in using Spanish effectively.
