About Akshina

As a PGT Psychology Teacher and School Counselor, I am dedicated to providing a holistic learning experience to students. I teach psychology to Classes 11 and 12, simplifying complex concepts into engaging lessons and designing customized lesson plans that cater to the needs of each student. In addition to academic instruction, I offer career planning, personal development support, and guidance for students facing emotional or academic challenges. I conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address issues like anxiety, stress, self-worth, and career uncertainty, while also working with families and administrators for long-term support. I have successfully organized and managed large-scale events such as the annual Career Fair, coordinating with universities, career experts, and professionals to expand students' horizons. Additionally, I organize workshops on mental health, stress management, innovative careers, and cybersecurity, alongside life skills programs covering topics like critical thinking, effective communication, and emotional well-being. My role also extends to organizing school-wide mental health initiatives and serving as a member of various school committees, including Anti-Bullying, POCSO, and Anti-Ragging. Beyond teaching and counseling, I have been involved in CBSE Board exam evaluation, Annual Day coordination, and temporary class teacher responsibilities, ensuring a well-rounded contribution to the school environment.

About the lesson

Teaching psychology online gives me the chance to use different methods that make learning more engaging and flexible. I can incorporate a mix of multimedia, like videos, podcasts, and interactive quizzes, which helps break down complex concepts. Discussion boards and group projects also give students a chance to connect with each other and apply what they’ve learned. I believe one of the biggest advantages is the flexibility that online learning offers, allowing students to learn at their own pace while still receiving personalized feedback through virtual meetings. To attract students, I focus on showing how psychology is not only interesting but also useful in real life and different careers. Offering certifications or specialized courses that add value to their skill set can be a great way to encourage enrollment.
