About Catherine

Hi, my name is Catheline peter, and i am a native Tanzanian offering authentic swahili lessons. While i do not hold a formal teaching certificate, my lifelong fluency as a native speaker from Tanzania i my greatest qualification i guarantee a deep understanding of the language that you simply cannot get from a textbook.
My lessons are especially for beginners, intermediate learners, travelers, expats and anyone interested in connecting with Swahili culture. I tailor both adults and children and every lesson to your specific pace and personal goals.
My teaching style is highly interactive and focused on real-life conversation. I create a patient, encouraging environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and also we will focus on practical vocabulary, everyday expression and proper pronunciation.
Lessons lasts 60 minute or more and for those with busy schedules and younger learners I am happy to offer 20-45 minute focused conversation sessions. we will have online session and in-person lessons for those located in Tanzania.

About the lesson

My lessons are especially for beginners, travelers, expats and anyone who wants to learn Swahili language.
I teach both children and adults. My classes customized to your goals whether for business, fun or travel. My qualification is my lifelong eloquence and deep cultural understanding therefore i focus more on real life conversation.
I have natural ability to break down complex grammar and pronunciation in a simple way and easy to understand for non native speakers. I believe the best way of learning a language is to use it naturally. I teach more than just words but also providing daily expressions and proverbs into our lessons for deep learning.
I offer shorter 20-45 minute focused conversation sessions for younger learners or those with busy schedules and also a typical lesson lasts 60 minute and lastly i offer both online lessons and in person for those located in Tanzania.
