About Blake
I am an experienced Drum tutor with over 6 years of teaching college students from different backgrounds. I help students build strong rhythm foundations and creative drumming skills. My teaching style is student-focused and practical. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning pace and musical goals. I guide students as a mentor, encouraging curiosity and confidence.
I use innovative techniques such as rhythm breakdown practice, groove layering, and tempo accuracy drills. I also include improvisation sessions to improve musical expression and coordination. Accountability is central to my lessons.
I help students maintain disciplined practice routines and track their improvement regularly. Honest feedback helps students grow faster. Along with drum performance, I teach rhythm reading, basic music theory, and performance preparation. My lessons are supportive, interactive, and result-oriented.
