Lessons will be tailored to the class curriculum and age. A general summary about the subject, any nuances related to a subject. For example, in chemistry you are always given a list of known variables and asked to solve for one unknown. If you can not remember all the steps you can use the units to cancel each other out in the known variables to determine the one unknown variable unit. For a younger student, fractions can be taught using quarter in basketball and halves. For statistics, understanding the basics, I recommend reading "How to lie with statistics". Teaching is showing how to solve, step by step, then having the pupil attempt a simple problem, after mastering a simple problem move on to more complicated problems with further explanation of the why, depending on the pupil's, memory and learning acuity.
