About Elizabeth
My name is Libby (nicknamed from Elizabeth), I graduated from Columbia University with a BS in Chemical Engineering. I started tutoring two years ago as a way to help survive the NYC prices, but found teaching to be so enjoyable for me that I now hope to become a professor. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UC Berkeley, where I work to develop new renewable energy technology as my own attempt to try and help save the world. I live and breathe math and physics in my research and academic experiences, and because I wholeheartedly understand the importance of these subjects in real-world applications, I try to inspire my students to find a similar connection to these subjects in their own lives.

My teaching style is very flexible, I adapt to the needs of each student - whether that is homework help, test preparation, or going back over material/notes from class. I believe that each student is unique and intelligent in their own way, and itis my job as a tutor to help them find their way of understanding the material. I typically teach highschoolers, but teach math up through calculus (so prealgebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus) and am happy to work with students form all backgrounds and levels of understanding!
