About Aiden

I graduated from high school in 2019 then went to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. Having tutored fellow students in high school, I brought that experience to college with me and continued to tutor and mentor fellow students. I am now in my final semester of degree and have gained valuable, practical experience in the form of three internships and leading a student design team to place second in the ASME human powered vehicle challenge. In my spare time enjoy riding (and building) bikes and taking care of my garden.

About the lesson

Whether you are learning algebra, thermodynamics, multivariable calculus, or basic arithmetic, I can help! Having 5+ years experience in tutoring these subjects (and having actually spent time teaching in a classroom) I understand that an individualized approach to learning is best, and that is what I offer. Using engaging lessons and practical examples you will leave not only feeling confident in the material, but that you can readily apply it. Course I cover: Mathematics Algebra Geometry Pre Calculus Calculus I, II, III Linear Algebra Differential Equations High School Physics Statics Dynamics Thermodynamics Fluid Mechanics Mechanics of Materials Engineering Design A general format for my lessons is as follows: Warm-Up: Review previous topic and Introduce the new concept. Relate how the previous topics apply to the current concept. Provide visual examples of the concept. Graphs of equations will be used most frequently, but when possible other visual aids will be utilized. Demonstrate the steps for solving concepts. Help guide the student through an example of solving the concept. Provide increasingly difficult examples that the student can work on their own. Allow the student to guide me through solving an example of the concept. Provide at least one non-calculating question to promote critical thinking of the new concept.
