About Sophie

As an engineering undergrad, piano has been the perfect hobby to relax me at the end of a long day and I find such passion in being able to play my favourite songs/pieces. I love playing all genres from classical, to jazz/blues, to theatre scores and more!

Within my 2 years of teaching experience I helped so many 5-11 year olds discover their passion for music, and even identify which types were their favourite! However I would especially love to help a wider group of ages progress in their musical ability - whether you've played a little bit or completely from scratch!

I have a valid DBS along with piano qualifications.

About the lesson

I believe that playing piano should never feel like a chore, this is why I will help you learn your favourite pieces, while progressing your skills and technique, in a fun and enjoyable environment!

I've tutored ages 5-11 for 2 years and loved every second of it. My grades 1-6 qualifications equip me to be able to tailor your lessons to what you want to play, and how you wish to learn it. Growing up my weekly piano lesson was the highlight of my week and so I want to be able to do that for you!

I also have 2 years of experience playing piano and bass guitar in a professional environment for anyone who would love to learn the blueprint musical knowledge you'd need to be able to flourish in that environment.

I offer a free 30 minute ONLINE consultation to get to know your experience, your favourite music to play, and what your goals are.

You do not have to be a specific age to learn a new instrument! i teach up to grade 3 level (beginner/intermediate).
