About Judith

I’m a confident, creative and enthusiastic native German speaker specialising in performance and language, accent and singing teaching. I have extensive experience working with young people leading educational and singing and drama workshops. I’ve worked with children and teenagers for over 10 years, using unconventional and creative ways of teaching. I hold a BA in musical theatre from the Conservatoire of Vienna and an MA in Musical Theatre and Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London. During my MA programme I completed a teacher-training course receiving the LRAM licence to teach from the Royal Academy of Music. I believe that the best teachers of foreign languages are often not native speakers, but rather those who have studied those languages later in life. Alongside my native (Swiss) German, I have been surrounded by a variety of European languages since childhood, which sparked my appreciation and ear for German, English, Spanish and French. Through studying these languages, I developed a deep understanding of the challenges students face, and feel much better able to support them. This also means that when it comes to teaching English, I feel particularly confident teaching German, Spanish and French learners. I also work as a professional actor and bring an element of confidence-building and presentation skills to all my lessons.
