About Isla

I have always been captivated by the power of language to communicate ideas, tell stories, and influence thinking. I earned an M.A. in English Studies and Applied Linguistics, gaining expertise in language structure, stylistics, phonetics, and pedagogy. Over 12 years, I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, helping them gain fluency, confidence, and skill in English communication.

I approach teaching with patience, adaptability, and encouragement, focusing on each learner’s goals and strengths. Lessons integrate structured grammar practice, reading comprehension, writing exercises, and interactive speaking activities. My emphasis is on fostering analytical thinking, self-expression, and independence, while providing constant support and motivation.

Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with literature, media, and language research, enriching lessons with real-world examples. English instruction is deeply rewarding because I witness learners grow in fluency, confidence, and intellectual curiosity, enabling them to communicate effectively, express ideas creatively, and navigate academic and professional contexts with skill.

About the lesson
