About Ronnie

Having completed year 13 and my first year of university in the midst of a pandemic, I am familiar with how challenging these conditions are and how they affect learning and grasping both new and previously learned content and regain the skills necessary to proceed with current and higher education. I hope to be able to relieve some stress or help regain strength in these subjects by taking the time to personally tutor anyone that needs help.

From my experience as a student and tutoring others, I feel that the most effective method of strengthening a student’s ability to apply skills to various contexts and questions is by completing various practice questions and simulatory activities. After introducing the basic concepts of a given topic, my primary focus is practising with questions until the student is confident enough to apply what they’ve learned confidently and independently.

About the lesson

I feel that patience and perseverance are very important, and as such, I do my best to maintain an open dialogue between my students and me and encourage them to not be disheartened. These are challenging subjects and I shall do my best to deliver and tailor the most effective teaching method appropriate for each student to ensure their success and understanding of their chosen subjects.

During class, I maintain a conversation-like structure between the students and me. This facilitates a comfortable environment for the students whereby they are able to learn, ask questions and develop as they go with my guidance supporting them. I do my best to ensure that my students have the time to have any of their concerns addressed prior to the end of class, and if there is no time, I make an effort to make note of questions so they can be ready for the next class.
