In the course of my ten-year experience as a college ESL instructor and Literature professor, my approach in teaching has become focused around interdisciplinary studies because of my graduate research interests in American postwar poetry, Abstract Expressionism, historical thought, and contemporary urban culture. I tend to correlate these aspects in my teaching methodology in order to achieve openness to communication and literature as cultural and sociological spaces for exploring new prospects in humanities and in various text-type analysis. I believe that creating such an environment in the classroom is essential to promoting critical responses that move away from conventional implementation of literary and language development.
I am an English major who has a BA and an MA in English Literature and ESL teaching. I also have a PhD in American poetics and urban studies. I have been teaching for more than a decade in schools, colleges, and universities.
