About Raquel

I currently work as a full English teacher at an academy in Móstoles. I have been giving private classes to adult students, adolescents and children since 2016, be that for work reasons, moving to another English-speaking country or for academic enquires. I have also taught Cambridge exam preparation classes, which includes teaching how to improve oral and written expression, comprehension, pronunciation and correct use of the English language. Referring to my lessons, I personalise every single one of them making them dynamic so that students receive different stimuli without getting bored. On the other hand, I have been teaching in an academy in Móstoles since May. In there, I teach children from 2 years to adolescents. I also teach university students and adults. I currently am an exam invigilator for official exams at the British Council.

About the lesson

I have over ten years of personal experience with the Cambridge exams, from KET to CPE. During this time, I have developed my methodology to achieve the best results in all areas of these exams; from grammar, oral expression, listening, to writing and use of English. I have worked as a private teacher since 2016 using a dynamic, interactive and personalised approach for each student and their needs. I think that the preparation that goes behind each class is what makes the difference, that is why my students are always aware of the aims and objectives of the lesson at the beginning of it. By doing this, the both of us can work having a goal in mind. Having taken and passed all of the exams from KET to CPE, I know by first-hand which are the most problematic areas for the candidates, how to approach each question and which areas to work on the most. My age is in my favor: since my students feel identified with me, they feel more comfortable expressing their concerns and points of view. On the other hand, being trained with CELTA, my classes are planned to bring out the best in each student in a natural way from in which the student benefits the most. Finally, I have the Cambridge exam preparation qualification (International House Madrid) and am working as an exam invigilator at British Council.
