About OMOROGBE
If I cannot get excited about my subject, why should my students? Hence, I always bring a lot of energy into whatever I do. I used funny but easily memorable names for some Greek symbols in my statistics class. I also use interesting anecdotes to add glamor to my classes. I break down seemingly difficult concepts into small, easily chewable bits. These names and stories normally excite the students and enhance their interest in learning. It also rivets their attention on the subject.
Many students are of the view that statistics is a very difficult subject but it is not. To demystify this misconception, I always deploy real life scenarios to explain abstract ideas to students. In addition, I use personal contact with students by moving round the classroom while teaching.
