About Avni Gupta

I am an undergraduate student pursuing Bachelors from Amity University in applied psychology and currently i am in final year. I am planning to become a clinical psychologist and during this journey i would like to tap on other opportunities and field as well for better learning experience. The first reason i would like to teach students is because i have genuine passion for the field of psychology and therefore find joy in sharing knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with other people. I would love to see similar passion, love and appreciation that i have in other people as well. Being a student i have realised that teachers play a big role in making difference in shaping future and making a positive change in the environment. Therefore, I believe if i get this opportunity it would be really honourable for me as i would be doing that job and would experience how it feels like to be on other side of picture.

About the lesson

Before explaining how my teaching methodology will be different from other teachers that students have been taught so far, i would like to give a little introduction of myself. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate program from Amity University in applied psychology and currently i am in final year. So coming back to the question about my teaching methodology, Being an undergraduate student, I clearly understand what a student expects from his/her teachers that is clarity of concepts, guidance in the field that one desires to pursue and lastly a teaching approach that is interactive and engaging.So, i would assure you that my teaching methodology would serve all these purposes. Moreover, i would engage case study discussions and other interactive activities like sharing experiences regarding the field for better clarity of concepts as well as the field. Also I know psychology as a subject not only requires grasping concepts but also memorising key concepts which can be quite troublesome so for that i would suggest you memory mnemonics and tricks for better learning and understanding. Therefore, i will try my level best to not make students feel like they are attending a lecture but instead having a fun and interactive learning experience. Also, i would give you guidance on my personal experiences so far regarding this field because one of the biggest disadvantage that i felt was lack of guidance which I would assure future students won’t face. And finally, i love to teach and impart knowledge so it would be a great opportunity and experience for me as well
