About Adam

Having studied French from the age of 8, this language has been a lifelong passion, and I'm very keen to share it with you! My studies took me to a degree in French at Exeter University, and my travels have taken me all across France, so I have a deep understanding of the French language and culture to help you on your learning journey. Besides being a linguist, I'm also keen on music, acting, literature, science, and sport, and there's nothing I love more than to converse and to teach. As such, I really enjoy tutoring, and I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

I tutor all levels from beginner to advanced, usually in hour-long sessions, but can offer shorter for the busy, and longer for the brave of heart! I cover all aspects of language learning in my lessons, with speaking, listening, reading, and writing all playing a role. My lesson plans will be individually tailored to your abilities and preferences. I have years of experience tutoring one-to-one, running language clubs, and working as a language assistant in schools, and I look forward to using it all to help you to achieve your language goals!

For beginners of any age:
I'll give you a great foundation in grammar especially: a toolbox that you will quickly be able to use to start producing your own language. I also have a bespoke pronunciation guide to share with you so that you get off on the right foot!

For school students:
I can help you with work that you bring home from school, and give you support in all four language disciplines (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) tailored to the requirements of your exams.

For experienced adults:
I can offer personalised conversation classes and in depth sessions on grammar and vocabulary to take your language to the next level!
