About Humaira
My ultimate goal is to make maths fun and understandable for everyone! I know that maths often has a bad reputation for being complicated, boring, or even useless in the real world—but I’m here to change that perception. Having studied maths from GCSE all the way to earning a first-class degree in Mathematics, I’ve been in your shoes and understand the challenges that students face. I’m well-equipped to help you achieve the grades you want and deserve.

I have been tutoring since 2019, conducting both in-person and online lessons throughout my three-year degree and beyond. My tutees have ranged from primary school pupils to GCSE and A-level students, as well as university undergraduates in the earlier stages of their maths degrees. I am familiar with multiple exam boards, namely OCR, Edexcel and BJC, but as maths is a universal language, I can teach any syllabus. More recently, I have resumed tutoring and now have a total of four years of experience. Over this time, I have helped students of varying abilities, all of whom have seen improvements in their test grades - 100% of my students have achieved A*-B grades, so improvement is guaranteed when working with me. I am a very patient tutor, and I genuinely don’t mind how long it takes for you to grasp a concept. I’m skilled at explaining things in different ways to make complex ideas clearer, and I tailor my approach to suit each student’s learning style. My lessons are straightforward: you bring me the topics that you are struggling with, along with example questions, and I prepare a structured lesson plan, including additional practice questions. Once you feel confident with my examples, we return to your original questions to ensure you've fully grasped the concept. When possible, I also use the same maths textbooks that you are working with in school to provide the most relevant support.
