About Teresa
Does your 4-H, Pony Club, USHJA, or FFA team need coaching? Do your barn kids need a deeper knowledge of horse care, apart from riding time? From standing wraps to taking a horse's temperature, I am here and ready to help out your barn and club! Whether you are wanting a competitive edge or simply want a deeper knowledge, I am an equestrian with many years experience, ready to tutor on horse knowledge and husbandry! I have competed in USHJA Horsemanship Quiz Challenge, and many National 4-H Horse Knowledge competitions. Paired with this, I have had experience in the Hunter/Jumper industry as well as Western, Rodeo, Trail, Riding and other disciplines. My success in applying my horse knowledge can be seen through my coaching of several Horse Bowl, and Horse Judging Teams, with my competing in Horse Bowl, Hippology, and other contests as the National Level, and by my past lesson program.

I believe in making the course material understandable while showing students the importance of what they are learning, truly learning the why behind each lesson. Through teaching I seek to show the student that there is a reason for everything we do in the horse world, and that many of those reasons are based in safety! My learning style ranges from the scientific to theoretical with special emphasis on safety, patience, and with appreciation of those teachers and riders at the top of our sport. Typical lessons are interactive with students being given questions to ask each other to further their knowledge. Lessons are also integrative taking a comprehensive approach as opposed to only teaching to the question or end result.
