About Cynthia
Walking into our first session requires only an open mind and your current violin setup. Have you considered how small adjustments in your grip can transform your sound? We address everything from sight reading to tuning by ear to build a comprehensive skill set. My 13 years of experience inform how I break down complex orchestral passages for younger players.
I offer free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to ensure you have guidance during your home practice. Music theory is integrated into our work to help you understand the internal logic of your scales and arpeggios.
For ABRSM or Trinity candidates, we simulate the exam environment to build steady performance confidence. My approach is warm and precise, ensuring that the heavy technical work feels manageable and even fun. Let us keep your performance bright and your technique perfectly aligned.

Performance-focused students often seek a guide who understands the weight of the bow. Do you sometimes wonder if your posture hinders your ability to produce a resonant tone?
I work primarily with kids and exam candidates who want to refine their technical foundation. Holding an MMus from Université Laval Faculté de musique, I view violin instruction as a bridge between discipline and creative expression.
My 13 years of experience have allowed me to cultivate a method that balances structural precision with musical poetry. I have helped 84 students find their unique voice on the instrument. It is truly rewarding to witness a student transition from struggling with shifting positions to playing with total ease. Developing a consistent practice habit is what I enjoy observing the most.
