About Romi

My fascination with Excel began during my Bachelor’s degree in Business, and I further developed my expertise while completing a Master’s in Business Analytics. Over the past 7 years, I have helped students at all levels, from those learning basic spreadsheet skills to advanced learners handling complex data analysis, automation, and reporting tasks. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, practice, and real-world application, ensuring students gain both understanding and practical competence.

I structure lessons to balance theory, demonstration, and hands-on exercises. Beginners build foundational knowledge and confidence, intermediate learners expand their skills with formulas and visualization, and advanced students tackle automation, macros, and data modeling. I encourage learners to practice independently, explore creative solutions, and build both skill and confidence while reinforcing concepts in a supportive environment.

Beyond teaching, I continuously explore new Excel features, data analysis techniques, and industry-relevant applications. I integrate case studies, datasets, and real-world scenarios to make lessons meaningful, practical, and engaging. Witnessing students evolve from hesitant beginners to proficient, confident users capable of analyzing and visualizing complex data independently is immensely rewarding. My ultimate aim is to develop students who are not only technically skilled in Excel but also analytical thinkers who can leverage data to make informed decisions, improve efficiency, and achieve success across academic, professional, and personal projects.

About the lesson

Learning Excel effectively involves understanding its power to analyze data, organize information, and automate tasks. I teach functions, formulas, pivot tables, charts, data validation, and advanced features in a structured, practical way. Beginners learn basic formatting, simple calculations, and foundational data organization. Intermediate learners focus on formulas, conditional formatting, data visualization, and pivot tables. Advanced students explore automation, macros, complex functions, and scenario analysis to develop confidence in handling large datasets and solving real-world business problems.

Lessons are interactive and practice-oriented, encouraging students to apply techniques to their own projects. I use real-life datasets, exercises, and guided examples to ensure students understand the concepts and can implement them independently. Each class emphasizes problem-solving, accuracy, and efficiency, helping learners become comfortable working with data while developing analytical thinking and confidence in Excel skills.

Excel lessons help students gain practical, transferable skills useful in business, academics, and personal projects. Learners gradually become adept at managing data, creating reports, and performing complex analysis.
