About Lys
My journey with Excel began when I discovered how spreadsheets could transform complex data into clear insight and meaningful decisions. I earned a B.Sc in Business Information Systems and later completed an M.Sc in Data Management Analytics, which allowed me to explore both technical and strategic sides of information organization. Over 11 years of teaching, I have supported learners in building practical Excel confidence.
I believe Excel is best learned through hands-on guidance and real-world relevance. My teaching style focuses on step-by-step clarity, patient explanation, and practice that helps students understand not just how functions work, but why they matter. I encourage learners to ask questions freely and build independence in using Excel effectively.
Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with data tools through continual learning, professional reporting methods, and exploring new analytical techniques. Teaching Excel is rewarding because students often gain immediate confidence that improves their productivity. Supporting learners as they master such a valuable skill is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

Excel becomes a powerful tool when students learn how to organize information, analyze patterns, and solve real-world problems efficiently. In my lessons, I guide learners through formulas, functions, data organization, charts, pivot tables, dashboards, and professional spreadsheet practices with clear and supportive instruction. I focus on helping students feel confident using Excel as a skill that strengthens both academic and workplace success. Each session is practical, structured, and encouraging.
Lessons are personalized to each learner’s level. Beginners start with basic navigation, formatting, simple formulas, and building confidence in spreadsheet logic. Intermediate learners develop stronger skills in conditional functions, data validation, chart creation, and organizing larger datasets. Advanced students focus on pivot tables, advanced lookup functions, automation basics, reporting design, and real-world business problem solving. Practice tasks and feedback are always included to ensure steady improvement.
Excel lessons help students build analytical thinking and professional confidence.
