About Mae
I am a committed flute tutor with 10+ years of experience teaching students from school to college level, and I am passionate about helping them grow both musically and personally. My journey in music has been shaped by dedication, continuous learning, and a strong desire to improve, and I bring these values into my teaching.
Over the years, I have worked with many learners, helping them strengthen their skills and gain confidence in performing.
One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students take part in competitions and public performances with confidence and enthusiasm. My teaching method is simple, structured, and practical, focusing on strong fundamentals such as breathing techniques, finger placement, tone clarity, and regular practice.
I also encourage creativity and enjoyment in learning, as I believe music should be both meaningful and fun. My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where students feel motivated to learn and achieve their goals.

My teaching approach is built on the principles of Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident. I start by understanding each student’s goals and current skill level, so I can provide personalised guidance.
Motivation plays a key role in my teaching. I encourage students by recognising their efforts and helping them set achievable goals. Communication helps me explain important techniques such as breath control, fingering, posture, and sound quality in a clear and simple manner. I also listen carefully to students and adjust my teaching based on their needs.
With integrity, I focus on building strong fundamentals and guiding students with honesty and patience. I ensure they understand each concept properly before moving forward. Creativity allows me to design interesting lessons using songs, exercises, and fun activities that make learning enjoyable.
In addition to flute, I also teach music basics such as scales, rhythm, and note reading. This helps students develop a complete understanding of music and improve their overall performance.
