About Rohan

I am a 26 year old Cambridge Graduate with a Philosophy Degree, with several years experience in various tutoring, coaching and mentoring roles. I love working with young people and helping them improve and grow. I have worked with children of all ages and adults as well, including those with special needs. I am currently booking in both weekly lessons, and intensive holiday sessions, in for 11+, 13+, GCSE and A-Level (English and Maths)

About the lesson

I have extensive experience teaching English, Mathematics and Coaching for University and 11+ Applications. I can offer both Individual and Group Tutoring Sessions, and come up with a personalised plan for each student. I offer lessons for anyone in English and Maths up to GCSE Level. The lessons are typically 1 hour in length, although I am happy to have discussions about shorter/longer sessions where needed. Typically I offer a weekly session, but can also arrange an intensive course over a few weeks to aid in the run-up to exams. I believe that each student must be approached as an individual, with their own specific requirements and needs. My Lesson Plans have a basic structure which I modify throughout to suit the client's needs. This will involve practice questions, worksheets, presentations on subjects and conversations about said topics to clarify and enhance the understanding of the child. I also incorporate a variety of educational games for younger students. I am a strong advocate for empathetic, thoughtful teaching which aims to get the best out of the student instead of imposing a teacher's specific ideas about how someone should be taught.
