Hello! I provide personalized tutoring in math and chemistry for students in Grades 3 to 12—whether they’re building foundational skills or pushing toward advanced mastery.
My approach is simple: meet each student where they are, and grow from there. I begin by identifying the student’s current understanding and learning style, then design lessons that break concepts down into manageable steps. I emphasize clarity, repetition when needed, and real-life applications to make abstract ideas stick.
A typical session starts with a check-in to address immediate needs (like homework or upcoming tests), followed by guided instruction on key concepts, and ends with independent practice and review. I also give students simple strategies for how to think through problems when I’m not there—so they build confidence and independence.
What sets me apart is my focus on making students feel safe to ask questions and not be afraid of making mistakes. I bring a calm, encouraging presence and always adapt my pacing to the student—not the other way around.
I offer both in-person sessions in the Ottawa area and online lessons for flexibility. If you're looking for a tutor who can simplify the tough stuff, build confidence, and genuinely connect with your child, I’d love to help.
