About Heena
I’ve spent over 25 years working in art and design, and I studied design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), one of the leading design universities in the world. Art has been a constant part of my life, not just something I studied once and moved on from. I take teaching seriously, but I keep the space relaxed and approachable. I show up prepared, I respect your time, and I meet you where you are creatively. Whether you’re just starting or have years of experience, my goal is to help you feel supported, capable, and confident as you grow. These lessons are guided, thoughtful, and professional, but never intimidating. You don’t need to impress me. You just need to be curious and willing to explore.

I’ve been doing art for as long as I can remember, and one thing I’ve learned is that not every medium speaks to everyone. My approach is rooted in exploration. The goal isn’t to make everyone work the same way, but to help students discover how they think and create.
With me, you’ll explore
- A range of media, including charcoal, watercolor, mixed media, acrylic, oil painting, and embroidery
- Different ways art can be used, from skill building to personal expression
- Process over perfection, with space to experiment and make mistakes
- How to work with your strengths instead of forcing a style that doesn’t fit
- Building confidence in your creative voice over time
Lessons typically begin with a simple prompt or warm-up, followed by guidance on a medium, technique, or concept. From there, students have time to experiment with support and feedback, and the freedom to follow their own ideas. We wrap up by reflecting on what felt right and what to explore next.
I teach students of all skill levels and tailor lessons to each student’s pace, goals, and interests. I offer both online sessions and private tutoring, aiming to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where curiosity comes first.
These lessons are for anyone curious about art, whether you’re just starting, returning after a break, or looking to explore new mediums without rigid rules or expectations.
