About Annike
Hello, and welcome! I am a BMus-qualified music educator with a passion for helping students discover their musical potential in a supportive and encouraging environment. Music has been a central part of my life from a young age, and I have extensive experience teaching piano, music theory, and general musicianship to learners of different ages and abilities.
My teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that every student can succeed when lessons are tailored to their individual needs, goals, and learning style. I strive to make each lesson engaging, structured, and enjoyable while developing strong technical skills, musical understanding, creativity, and confidence.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have performed in orchestras, ensembles, and various community settings, which allows me to bring practical musical insight into my lessons. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to further develop your skills, I am committed to helping you grow as a musician and achieve your personal goals at a pace that is both challenging and rewarding.

As a BMus-qualified music educator, I offer piano and music lessons in both English and Afrikaans. My teaching approach is student-centered, encouraging, and adaptable, focusing on building confidence, musical understanding, and a genuine enjoyment of music. Drawing on experience teaching learners of various ages and abilities, I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s goals, learning style, and pace. Students can expect engaging lessons that combine practical music-making with the development of strong foundational skills, including technique, musicianship, theory, creativity, and performance confidence. My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate students, as well as young learners seeking a positive and supportive introduction to music.
