About Tessa
Chemistry teaching is part of a sixteen-year career during which I have guided 860 students, from young beginners to advanced students preparing for formal examinations and coursework. My own training spans both classical academic study and years of applied technical experience, giving me a strong practical grounding beyond purely formal study alone. I am a demanding but deeply invested tutor, believing genuine mastery requires patient, deliberate practice rather than rushed repetition squeezed in before a deadline. Many of my tutoring relationships have lasted several years, letting me guide a student's entire academic development from first lessons through confident performance. Watching former students achieve strong exam results or pursue science confidently remains the most meaningful measure of success in my career.

For exam preparation I schedule frequent mock assessments under realistic conditions, since strong technique alone does not guarantee a confident result under genuine formal evaluation. Detailed long term progress records track subtle technical improvements for every student across many months of consistent lessons.
