About Saba
I am a passionate music educator with over six years of teaching experience, specializing in the Daf, a traditional frame drum deeply rooted in Kurdish folk culture. Holding an official teaching license, I have led numerous group performances and concerts, contributing both artistically and organizationally to the success of each event. In the past two years, I have expanded my expertise into early childhood music education, using the Orff-Schulwerk approach to engage and inspire young learners. This transition has not only broadened my impact as an educator but also deepened my understanding of music as a developmental and expressive tool. What sets me apart is a unique blend of traditional folk musicianship and modern pedagogical skills, allowing me to connect with a wide range of learners—from children exploring their first rhythms to adults appreciating cultural heritage. I am actively seeking new opportunities in music education, cultural projects, and child-focused musical programs, where I can contribute my experience, creativity, and deep commitment to musical growth. Hi! I’m Saba, a professional Daf (Persian frame drum) player and teacher from Iran. I offer online Daf lessons for all levels – from absolute beginners to advanced players. The Daf is a powerful traditional percussion instrument from Iran and Kurdish culture, used in spiritual, Sufi, and folk music. In my classes, you will learn: - Basic and advanced rhythms - Right and left-hand techniques - Roll, snap, accent, and breathing coordination - The cultural background and meditative power of Daf Classes are held via Google Meet.
