About Abeer
I have been teaching English to both EFL and ESL students for the past six years. I did my MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Michigan State University. I teach English vocabulary and grammar for academic and professional purposes, mostly by integrating these lessons with reading, writing, and speaking activities.

I have hands-on experience working with students of various ages, backgrounds, and English proficiency levels. I teach vocabulary and grammar in an integrated style, focusing at the same time on all four language skills.
I mostly prefer the communicative approach to teaching with an emphasis on improving students' communication skills for everyday life. Also, I have specific preferences for task-based and genre-based instruction, and I love the idea of a flipped classroom.
I give importance to feedback and let students work on the feedback they receive. Teaching students strategies for learning and retaining new language items has been an important part of my lessons.
I love teaching but my job has been more than that. I have always loved being a mentor and guide to my students in their journey of language learning. I am used to tweaking my teaching preferences to meet individual students' learning needs because I sincerely believe and respect the fact that every learner has their own pace of language development.
