About Peter
I am a Canadian, native-English speaker who has taught ESL for over 21 years to students of all ages in Canada, China, Thailand and Japan. I have a Journalism diploma and a CELTA. The CELTA in particular has been very beneficial for teaching both children and adults.

My teaching methodology varies depending on the type of student(s) I have. For younger learners I base my classes on a structured plan which includes doing activities and playing games that give the kids a clear understanding of the target language, followed by lots of practice speaking and listening. For high school students and older, I offer a conversation-based approach; I find out what the students want to communicate in English, and then help them with grammar, fluency and pronunciation.
