About Holly
Hi, I'm Holly! I am currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Sheffield and have several years of tutoring experience working with primary, GCSE and A-level students. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, improve their understanding of difficult topics and achieve their academic goals.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's needs. Whether a student needs help understanding the basics, preparing for exams or aiming for top grades, I provide patient, supportive and personalised lessons.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy keeping active and am committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I believe in creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and can develop confidence in their own abilities.
I look forward to helping students reach their full potential and enjoy learning along the way!

I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student's needs, whether they are preparing for exams, improving their understanding of challenging topics, or building confidence in a subject.
I begin by identifying the student's strengths and areas for improvement before creating a personalised plan. Lessons combine clear explanations, worked examples, exam-style questions and regular retrieval practice to reinforce learning. I also focus on exam technique and effective revision strategies to help students maximise their grades.
As a Biomedical Science student at the University of Sheffield with previous tutoring experience, I understand the importance of adapting my teaching style to suit different learners. My goal is not only to improve academic performance but also to help students become more independent and confident in their learning.
