About Jonathan
I have over 11 years of experience as a music educator, working with students of all levels and ages in schools, academies, and private lessons—both in-person and online. I specialize in guitar performance, music theory, improvisation, and ensemble coaching, and I’ve also taught piano, bass guitar, trumpet, drums, and a bit of Latin percussion. I hold a Master’s Degree in Jazz and Modern Music Performance from the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, one of Europe’s leading institutions for music education. I'm also a Certified IB Educator (Category 1 – Music), trained in the International Baccalaureate curriculum, which emphasizes inquiry-based learning, reflection, and creative exploration. My teaching methodology is centered on: Tailoring lessons to the student’s level, interests, and goals Combining technical development with creativity and expression Incorporating ear training, theory, and improvisation as integral parts of the learning process Encouraging students to perform and build confidence Whether you want to master the guitar, prepare for music exams or auditions, or simply explore new musical styles, I offer structured and motivating lessons based on real-world musical practice.
