About Francisco

Hello. My name is Francisco Parada and if you're reading this, you probably love music as much as I do. If you want to know more and explore all the intricacies of music you came to the right place. I have been studying music and guitar for 15 years. As of today, I have worked as a private tutor, session musician in both studio recordings and live concerts where I played in different renowned London venues for artists. I also worked as a composer/arranger for both covers and original material for different artists. I was born and raised in Portugal surrounded by music and early developed a passion for sounds and instruments of all kind which eventually led me to learn guitar. After several years of exploration in music and guitar, I decided to take a Bachelor's in Music degree (at BIMM London) to further develop my knowledge in the area. Throughout my degree, I have also learned piano/keyboard as a secondary instrument. I believe versatility inspires creativity, as so, throughout my career, I have performed and studied a wide variety of styles in both electric and acoustic guitar such as Blues, Funk, Rock, Metal, Jazz, RnB, Pop, Soul and other new contemporary styles. I've learned a wide array of techniques, vocabulary and improvisation skills specific to each style and occasion. Alongside the guitar, I have also an extensive knowledge of music theory and harmony as well as transcription and reading of traditional notation in music for several instruments.

About the lesson

For my students, from complete beginner to advanced, I aim for the highest standard in teaching with an organised plan for classes specific to each student's needs and goals. I will guide you through the steps to achieve the proficiency you seek in any area or skill-set such as: performance skills, sight-reading music, technique (picking, sweep pick, hybrid picking, fingerstyle, shred etc.), vocabulary (scales, chords etc.), harmony, music theory and more. Also, and most importantly, I expect you to have a good and fun time in my classes.
