Super Tutor

Jane is one of our best Knitting tutors. High-quality profile and excellent qualifications, organised and responsive to lesson requests, appreciated by their students!

About Jane

I have taught many people to knit, ranging from children to adults. Sometimes I teach one to one, sometimes as a group.
I have also taught knitters to expand their knowledge and create more intricate items.
I can guide you through the process to create a finished item.

About the lesson

I can teach you to hand knit if you are a beginner or help you develop your basic skills to create hand crafted items. I will teach any technique for you to produce a beautiful knitted garment or gift, as well as helping you to learn to read knitting patterns. I can provide pattern support for more complex projects.
I am available to help plan new projects, which include choosing the right pattern and yarn.
Examples of techniques covered:
Basic knit and purl stitches
Lace knitting
Fair isle and colour knitting
Knitting in the round
Knitting socks
Finishing techniques

It was a pleasure to help Lynda with her project. It's always difficult to correct mistakes when knitting brioche patterns. Lynda has great techniques and I'm glad I was able to make some suggestions to make it easier to follow the pattern.

As a first time knitter, Jane welcomed me into her lovely home and had the patience to sit with me for the hour, while I made mistake after mistake, all the while showing me over and over again how to correctly knit. She is an encouraging and demonstrative instructor. Can’t wait for my next lesson!!
