About Tarek
I`ve been fascinated by science and mathematics and and all their implications and applications for as long as I can remember. I am also a stern advocate of academia as a means for personal development and social mobility and strongly believe that having a finely tuned, scientific mind is one of the greatest assets one can have in this world.
I love watching my students develop their critical thinking skills and hone their logical instincts to the point where they can succesfully converse and positively contribute in discussions about some of the world`s most challenging issues, such as climate change and the ethics of science, for example.
Alongside making sure my students pass all their exams with flying colours, I do try to inspire a genuine interest and appreciation for the world of science and mathematics. I believe the highest levels of academic success are achieved by those who have a properly holistic view of what they`re learning and can appreciate it from outside the textbook. I therefore often tend to include anecdotes of modern applications of a particular topic we are studying and try to mention how groundbreaking a particular discovery was or how much trouble was caused by it! I want my students to understand that the skills we are using to succeed academically transcend the classroom and can lead them to untold achievements.
Excelling in academia under my tutelage inspires confidence, teaches humility and sets students up to be leaders in their classrooms and hopefully in their industries.
