About Ahmed

I have a background in Applied Mathematics and Math Education and nine years of experience tutoring students one-on-one and in group settings. Over that time, I’ve worked with more than 300 students across a wide range of skill levels and learning styles. I specialize in making math easier to understand rather than simply showing students formulas to memorize. I tutor Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Calculus, and general Mathematics, as well as SAT/ACT Math preparation. Whether a student is struggling with the fundamentals, preparing for an important exam, or trying to turn a good grade into a great one, I adapt each session to what they actually need. My goal is for students to leave sessions understanding why something works and feeling more confident solving problems independently.

About the lesson

I keep lessons practical, interactive, and tailored to the student. I break difficult concepts into simpler steps, use relatable examples and analogies, and then work through problems together until the student can confidently solve them independently. I also pay attention to why a student is getting a problem wrong — whether it’s a missing foundation, a misunderstanding of the concept, or simply test-taking strategy — so we can fix the actual issue rather than just memorize a solution.
