About Hossein
Hello! I'm Hossein, a Machine Learning Engineer with a Master's degree in Computing and Software from McMaster University. Throughout my academic and professional career, mathematics has been the foundation of everything I do—from advanced algorithms and statistics to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
I have experience teaching and mentoring students at the university level, and I genuinely enjoy helping others learn. I understand that every student learns differently, so I create a supportive and encouraging environment where questions are always welcome and mistakes are part of the learning process.
My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and truly understand the material. Whether you're preparing for a test, catching up on challenging topics, or aiming for top marks, I'll work with you to create a personalized plan that matches your goals.
I offer lessons in high school mathematics, statistics, and algorithms/computer science, and I'm committed to making each session engaging, organized, and productive. I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!

I believe every student can succeed in mathematics with the right guidance and a strong understanding of the fundamentals. My teaching focuses on helping students understand *why* a concept works rather than simply memorizing formulas. Once students build confidence in the underlying concepts, solving complex problems becomes much more intuitive.
Each lesson is tailored to the student's current level, learning style, and academic goals. A typical session begins with a review of previous material and any homework or questions the student has. We then work through new concepts using clear explanations and step-by-step examples, followed by guided practice where the student solves problems independently with my support. At the end of each lesson, I summarize the key takeaways and provide practice questions to reinforce learning.
I encourage students to think critically, explain their reasoning, and develop effective problem-solving strategies. My goal is not only to help students achieve higher grades but also to build confidence and independence in their learning.
