About Pedro
I am an experienced Math teacher with a couple of years of classroom teaching experience and a strong academic background in Mathematics and Education. I also hold a Master's degree focused on Mathematics Teaching and Learning, where my research explored the use of technology and computational thinking in mathematics education.
More recently, I graduated in Computer Programming from George Brown Polytechnic in Toronto, which further strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills.
As a teacher, I am patient, organized, and comfortable adapting explanations to different learning styles. I believe that mathematics becomes much easier when students understand the reasoning behind the concepts instead of simply memorizing formulas and procedures.

My lessons are personalized to each student's needs, goals, and learning pace. I start by identifying where the student is having difficulty and then work step by step to build a stronger understanding of the concepts.
Rather than focusing only on memorizing formulas, I encourage students to understand the reasoning behind the math and develop problem-solving strategies they can apply independently.
Lessons can focus on current schoolwork, homework, test and exam preparation, reviewing previous concepts, or strengthening math foundations. I work with students in Grades 7–11 and can help with topics such as algebra, functions, graphing, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, ratios, percentages, and more.
My goal is to create a patient and comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
