About Fereshteh

Hello and welcome! My name is Fereshteh, and I am a passionate and dedicated mathematics educator with a PhD in Mathematics from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. I have many years of teaching experience at both university and school levels, and I currently work as a school teacher in Ottawa.

Teaching is not just my profession—it is something I truly enjoy and care deeply about. I believe every student can succeed in math with the right guidance, encouragement, and clear explanations. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them build confidence, reduce anxiety, and develop a positive relationship with math.

About the lesson

Hello! I’m Fereshteh, a dedicated and patient math tutor with a PhD in Mathematics and several years of teaching experience at both university and school levels in Canada. I currently work as a school teacher and have strong experience helping students of different ages and learning styles grasp math concepts with confidence.

I focus on making math clear, structured, and enjoyable, not just memorized. Students often tell me they understand the material better and feel more confident after working with me.

I specialize in helping students with:

Elementary math (Grades 3–8) and higher grades
Pre-Algebra and Algebra
Homework support
Test and exam preparation
Strengthening foundational math skills

My tutoring style is:

Patient and encouraging

Step-by-step and clear

Tailored to each student’s needs

Focused on building confidence, not just solving problems

I am available for online tutoring in the evenings and on weekends, which works well for busy school schedules. I also welcome communication with parents to discuss goals and progress.

Whether your child needs help catching up or wants to excel ahead, I am here to support their learning journey.

Looking forward to helping your student succeed in math!
