About Luna
Hi! My name is Luna, and I graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Applied Mathematics. I have experience tutoring students in a variety of math subjects, including algebra, precalculus, calculus, and SAT/ACT math preparation. I have worked with middle school, high school, and university students through both private tutoring and academic support programs.
I enjoy helping students build confidence in math and develop a deeper understanding of concepts instead of relying only on memorization. I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I believe math becomes much easier when students understand the logic behind each step instead of simply memorizing formulas. My lessons focus on building confidence, problem-solving skills, and a strong foundation in mathematical thinking.
I have experience tutoring middle school, high school, and college students in algebra, precalculus, calculus, and SAT/ACT math preparation. I adapt my teaching style depending on each student’s level and learning pace. A typical lesson includes reviewing concepts, working through guided examples together, practicing problems independently, and discussing strategies for approaching similar questions in the future.
I am patient, encouraging, and detail-oriented, and I especially enjoy helping students who feel anxious or stuck in math gain confidence and improve step by step.
