About Natalie

I am an experienced drum tutor and professional musician with a total of 16 years behind the kit. 10 of those years have been working with double bass drumming techniques.

When I am not tutoring or gigging, I work as a teaching assistant. I really do love teaching!

The drums are a wonderfully adaptive instrument and I truly believe that they can be for everyone. I am confident in my ability to adapt my lessons to suit each individual learner (including those with SEN).

I have an enhanced DBS which is on the update service and I am up to date with my safeguarding training.

About the lesson

My drum lessons focus on your individual body and brain and how we can get them working together. I have lots of experience working with students with hypermobile joints and SEN and I love tailoring practice needs to suit each individual student I meet.

I have my Grade 8 with Trinity Guildhall and can assist with examination preparations up to this level.

I specialise in double bass drumming techniques and have 10 years of experience in this style of playing.

I have taught students from ages 5 to 70 and from absolute beginners to advanced players.

Lessons are conducted online and can be booked in either 30 minute or 1 hour time slots.

It would be great if you have your own drum kit to practise on, but a pair of sticks and a practice pad will be a great place to start. I recommend 7A's for younger students and 5A's for adults as starting stick sizes. You can decide your own personal preference as you progress.
