About Tom

I have given private English classes for almost 1 and 1/2 years. I have two types of typical course. One is to have an informal conversation in a café in Paris for more advanced students, the other is a more structured lesson with students between 8-16. We can find something that suits you!

About the lesson

I am a British student who lived in Paris for 2 years. I'm doing a masters at Sciences Po.

The English lessons are for all who are older than 8-9 years old. I'm patient and friendly teacher. I had difficulties learning French which can help me understand your issues! (I speak French :)

Pedagogically, the most important thing is first to discover how the student would like to learn and why. After, I change my methods accordingly.

Personally, I'm a fan of visual aids, videos, flashcards etc. I'm not a big fan of a lot of too much grammar upfront, but some structure and grammar - taught engagingly - is of course important.

On faits des trucs ludiques avec ces enfants bilingues comme lire des romans, dessiner, écrire des petites histoires etc. Ca me va. Je les recommande comme élèves :)

Perfect! Tom est un professeur sérieux, disponible et très attentifs aux besoins de ses élèves. Il sait mettre à l'aise et ses cours se déroulent dans une ambiance décontractée et agréable. Il est possible d'aborder avec lui de nombreux sujets intéressants, ce qui rend l'apprentissage de la langue plus interactif et stimulant. Je le recommande vivement comme professeur.
