About Aqeelah

Hi! I'm Hanan, a passionate and friendly Turkish tutor who loves helping others learn this beautiful and expressive language. As a native Turkish speaker, I’ve always had a deep connection to the language and culture, and I enjoy sharing that with others in a fun and supportive way. I achieved an A* in both GCSE and A Level Turkish*, which reflects not only my strong command of the language but also my understanding of how to succeed in the UK exam system. These experiences inspired me to start teaching and supporting others on their own learning journeys—whether you're starting from scratch or aiming to improve your fluency. Teaching allows me to connect with people, celebrate progress, and see students gain confidence in a new skill. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable, encouraging, and tailored to your individual needs and goals.

About the lesson

As a native Turkish speaker with tutoring experience, I offer fun, engaging, and personalised lessons for beginners of all ages. Whether you're learning Turkish for travel, conversation, culture, or personal development, my lessons are designed to help you feel confident and motivated from day one. My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student's pace and goals. I focus on building practical language skills through a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. I use everyday conversation, grammar explanations, vocabulary practice, and authentic materials like music, videos, and real-life dialogues to make learning enjoyable and effective. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, and I’m happy to adapt the length and content to suit your preferences. I work with both children and adults, and no previous experience with the Turkish language is needed. In addition to beginners, I also support students who are studying Turkish at GCSE and A Level, helping them prepare for exams with focused practice, past paper questions, and guidance on how to meet exam board criteria.
